A Kentucky Derby Fund Raising Event The annual Kentucky Derby party (formerly ‘Cinco de Derby’) will be held at the Lumberyard Tavern and Grill in Encinitas on Saturday May 7th – 1:00pm to 5:00pm. This year we have taken up a cause to help homeless and abused animals here in San Diego. Your $10.00 per person minimum tax deductible donation in advance ($15.00 at the door) benefits the San Diego Animal Support Foundation, a 501c3 corporation (nonprofit #33-0869383). Please make your tax deductable donation below or this fabulous, fun and exciting "PARTY for the PAWS" which is based around the 137th annual "RUN for the ROSES" event known as the Kentucky Derby. We have a 200 person maximum capacity limit so be sure to make your donation TODAY and secure your place at this incredible fund raising event!! This will SELL OUT fast !! Also – the Lumberyard Tavern has agreed to donate 10% of the day’s revenues to the San Diego Animal Support Foundation, so get there early, have a great lunch and help raise additional money to support this noble cause!! As an added bonus, ANYONE who arrives at the Lumberyard Tavern BEFORE 2:00pm will receive a 2 for 1 drink coupon at the door. Just one more reason to come out early and enjoy the fun and excitement the Kentucky Derby and this event has to offer!!
Lastly - as it is at Churchill Downs in Kentucky (and Opening Day here at Del Mar), we too will be holding a HAT CONTEST for the ladies - so, dress to impress and don yourself in your best hat for a chance to win some fabulous prizes!! We will also have a few other fund raising raffles activities going on during the day so be sure to get involved and join all the fun this day has to offer!! |
